About the Solheim Cup

After the inaugural Cup was held in 1990, Team USA dominated proceedings before the turn of the century. But Team Europe have come fighting back, with their most famous win coming at Loch Lomond, the last time the matches were played on the British Isle.

USA legend Juli Inkster has reinvigorated the American team, with their tight victory in 2015 being the closest Solheim Cup since its inception. But with a host of young talent likely to be in the ranks – Hull, Pedersen, Hall – and experienced major winners – Nordqvist, Matthew – the confidence of Team Europe is likely to be high going into 2019!

Gleneagles - one of Scotland's finest...

Playing host to major golfing tournaments is regular clockwork for Gleneagles’ PGA Centenary Course – the Women’s British Open, Ryder Cup and WPGA Championship have all been played on the Scottish masterpiece.

Situated in Perthshire, Scotland, golf at Gleneagles has been inspired by some of the greats of the game. Designed by Jack Nicklaus, the PGA Centenary Course is both challenging and rewarding - providing the perfect stage for golf’s biggest spectacle.
