Golf in Montgomery

For the splendid Capitol Hill and Cambrian Ridge...

Montgomery Golf

Robert Trent Jones must have had a large grin on his face when he reached Montgomery. The Judge Course at Capitol Hill is the star attraction on the RTJ Trail. The Legislator and Senator courses should not be underestimated either with both providing a real challenge to even the most accomplished of golfers.

Cambrian Ridge also offers two great courses, The Sherling  and The Canyon, whilst the Renaissance Montgomery Hotel is a great place to stay during your golf vacation to Alabama.

  • Annual average weather graph for Montgomery

The capital of Alabama has long, hot summers with temperatures averaging towards 90°F and can feel even hotter due to humidity. Golf has to be played with a cart during these months but when temperature cool in the fall, you can walk the course in pleasant conditions. Thunderstorms are not too uncommon, with October being the driest month all year round. We would recommend to visit Montgomery in the Spring or Fall as temperatures are most apt for golf during these months.
