It might be better known for the bright lights and razzmatazz of Las Vegas, but there’s more to the Silver State than slot machines and roulette wheels. With beautifully manicured courses, a superb climate and a seemingly endless supply of high-end resorts – including the Westin Lake and the Luxor - it’s easy to see why golf in Nevada has become so popular. • Average weather graph for Nevada

As a general rule in Nevada, the southern regions benefit from warmer weather, but the state is fortunate to have the sun to draw in visitors all year round. July and August are sweltering month’s reaching in excess of 100-degrees Fahrenheit, but the perfect time to travel would be prior to this where the heat is dry in May and June, perfect for a round. The general desert like landscape is complimented by the lack of rain fall in comparison to other states. Although August is the beginning of the monsoon season where cloudy days become more prominent, they are a breath of fresh air for a comfortable round after the sweltering heat found in the mid-summer months.
