Hilton Head Island Golf

A stunning coastal location with superb golf courses and 5* resorts

Golf in Hilton Head Island

Occupying an area of just 60 square miles, Hilton Head Island is a golfing oasis that can only be reached by crossing a bridge from the mainland. Famed for its white sandy beaches and nature trails, the island is also home to no less than 24 golf courses. The best known is the famous PGA Tour venue Harbour Town Links, but it's just one of three superb layouts at the brilliant Sea Pines Resort. At Palmetto Dunes, a little further along the island, there is The Robert Trent Jones Course and Arthur Hills Course, both excellent parkland challenges. If you want to escape the crowds and play some great golf in beautiful surroundings, a Hilton Head island golf trip is the perfect choice.

  • Average weather graph for Hilton Head Island

Between May and September there is a high possibility for Hilton Head to get 90-degree weather, and during the fall the weather still remains warm and comfortable. In this period, golf courses, restaurants and attractions are less crowded, unlike the busy scenes found around the Easter period. This time of year is ideal for a quiet get away, but having said this, the weather does provide the foundations for a year round option to get out on the course. Perhaps even tie your trip in with the RBC Heritage tournament at Harbour Town Links in mid April.
