Black Horse Course
at Bayonet & Black Horse Golf Club

Pebble Beach & Monterey, USA

Black Horse Golf Course overview

The Black Horse Golf Course was designed in 1964 by General Edwin Carnes, the Commanding General of Fort Ord at the time, and is a great complement to the Bayonet Course. The fairways here are slightly wider and the bunkers are a bit easier to get out of. However, the greens are more difficult with more undulation.

Both courses offer tree-lined fairways that flow over natural terrain with panoramic overlooks of Monterey Bay. At 7024 yards from the tips and with four sets of tees, the Black Horse offers golfers of all levels an opportunity to play. The course is regarded as the more playable and fun of the two.
