  • Measuring 6,989 yards as a par 72, this 18-hole venue at Casa De Campo is a true test of golf.

To play one of the many Pete Dye courses is always a treat. To say you’ve played Pete Dye’s masterpiece, his crown jewel, his self-proclaimed greatest creation, is another story entirely. Using the birthplace of golf, with its pot bunkers and railway ties, as an influence, he managed to create the #1 ranked golf course in the Caribbean and the #39 ranked golf course in the world. Truly deserving of all its high praise, Teeth of the Dog was meticulously crafted with both scenery and layout in mind, meandering along the rugged coastline guided by rocks and coral.

The course is one of three situated on the grounds of the Resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic, a town in the southeastern corner of the country. Prevailing trade winds, tricky doglegs, and a superior collection of par 3’s will test every club in your bag, all the while gazing out over the stunning Caribbean Sea.

When the designer himself describes building the course as the “experience of a lifetime,” you can rest assured knowing you’ll be saying the same thing after having played it.
