Host to 14 Open Championships (1894-2011), multiple PGA and Amateur Championships, and also to Curtis and Walker Cups, Royal St George’s is widely regarded as one of the best links golf courses in the world. Thankfully for us all, visitors tend to play off the ‘weekday’ tees which measure a less intimidating 6340 yards!

Founded in 1887 and given the honour of being the first Open Championship venue outside of Scotland in 1894, Royal St Georges poses a great challenge to all golfers. With plenty of hidden danger off the tees, and boasting the UK’s tallest and deepest bunker on the 4th hole, it’s easy to see how you could rack up a big score.
