Daniel Grave - CEO Golfbreaks USA

Background: Born in Mumbai, brought up in the UK, and now live in Charleston, South Carolina. Whilst at University I heard about a summer job in USA and ended up working for that company for 10 years! This is where I met my wife Nancy (from Maryland) and we have 3 young children (Scarlett, Joe and Ben). I am one of the founding Directors of and moved to Charleston in April 2013 to set up our North American business.

Interests: I love many sports, particularly golf, cricket, rugby and soccer (Ipswich Town is my team…have you heard of them?). Traveling is also a real passion of mine, with a special soft spot for the country of my birth…India! After graduating from University I took a trip to the Himalayas and hiked up to the Everest Base Camp.

Favorite Course: There are so many! It would have to be the Ocean Course at Kiawah and Ballyliffin, at the northern tip of Ireland. I LOVE links golf!

Richard Clements - COO Golfbreaks USA

Background: I was born in Surrey in the South East of England, however due to my mother being from Germany I learnt to speak German at a very early age and am fortunate now to be bilingual. I lived and worked in Germany in my mid 20’s,however 6 months in I met my now wife on a trip back to the UK and she persuaded me to come home! That was 15 years ago and I am now very happily married with 4 young children (Luke, Tom, Jake and Lucie). I joined in 2003 and have worked primarily in sales, sales management and operational roles. I jumped at the chance to help set up our North American business and moved across to the Charleston office in January 2016. We love it here in the Low Country!

Interests: I have jumped out of a plane 5 times and am still here to tell the tale! I love soccer and am somehow still foolish enough at every tournament to believe that England actually have a chance to win, I have blind faith! I have a real passion for golf and even with my 4 children I do my best to make sure that I get out once a weekend- I play off a 12 handicap, with the short game of a 24 handicapper!

Favorite Course: I love the West Coast of Ireland and I would put both Ballybunion (Old Course) and Waterville in my top 3, but Harbour Town Golf Links – Sea Pines Resort would have to be my number 1.

Adam Ward - Director of Product USA

Background: I’ve played golf for as long as I can remember.  As an amateur I managed to get down to plus 1 before turning professional and completing my PGA qualification.  My career has always been involved in golf and I now have over 15 years’ experience in golf hospitality and tourism.  I joined in 2011 following five years in senior positions at The Belfry Resort in the UK, host to 4 Ryder Cups.

My role at has always been in Product Development with a focus on North America.  It has been a challenge performing this role from the UK, with 5-8hr time differences, so I am delighted to now be in our Charleston, South Carolina office. The quality and breadth of golf product in the US is incredible, and I love getting to see and work with it..

Interests: I’m an all-round sports fan although golf remains top of the list.

Favorite Course: Hard to choose but I love links golf and three that come to mind are Royal Lytham & St. AnnesRoyal Cinque Ports and I have to include the Old Course at St. Andrews.

Chris Bowles - Senior Golf Vacation Specialist

Background: I joined back in 2010 having graduated from the University of the Highlands & Islands in the north of Scotland, where I studied Golf Management. During that time I was fortunate enough to see the vast majority of what Scotland has to offer in terms of its world-famous golf, and was a member of Royal Dornoch and Tain Golf Club. My knowledge of UK and Irish golf is extensive and I moved to San Francisco in March 2016 as our west coast representative for in North America. Just about every US and Canadian golfer I meet has a trip to Scotland or Ireland on their bucket list…and for those of you that have been fortunate enough to go, you will understand why.

Interests: My hobbies and interests outside of golf all revolve around sports and the outdoors; in particular hiking / climbing, football (I mean soccer!), cricket and badminton.

Favorite Course: It has to be Kingsbarns Golf Links, St Andrews

Connor Smith - Senior Golf Vacation Specialist

Background: I picked up golfing at the age of 18, and I am still trying to master the truly testing sport.  Over the years my passion and interest for golf continues to grow every day.  Born and raised in Lincoln, Nebraska, I relocated to Charleston, SC at the start of 2016. Previous to my move, I worked as a Personal Banker at a local community bank in Lincoln.  I knew after leaving the banking profession I wanted something new, and I am very lucky to have become a part of USA.

Interests: I attended Peru State College, an NAIA Division 1 School where I played Men’s Basketball for 3 years, and received my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.  All of my interests involve sports, friends and my family. If I am with the right people, anything is fun in my book. I am married to Jessica and we have a little dog named Bentley, who is the center of everything we do!

Favorite Course: I would have to say it’s a tie for my favorite course between Punta Espada in the Dominican Republic and Old Head of Kinsale in Ireland.

Jamison Cunneff - Golf Vacation Specialist

Background: I relocated to Charleston in late 2017, shortly after visiting on a golf trip, and joined Golfbreaks in Feb 2018. Prior to Golfbreaks I was in Sales/Recruiting for a start-up staffing agency in Houston, TX. I graduated from University of Houston, where I won the Golf Intramural tournament 3 years in a row. I started playing golf when I was 7. I’m currently a 5 handicap and I still can’t hit a fairway.

Interests: My interests outside of golf include traveling, running, reading, and bikram yoga. As an avid golfer, I feel very fortunate to be in the golf business, and I’m excited to help grow the Golfbreaks brand.

Favorite Course: My favourite course is Quivira Golf Club in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Playing golf on the side of a mountain overlooking the ocean is incredible, not to mention the amazing sliders available at the turn.

Patrick Tarantino - Golf Vacation Specialist

Background: I was born and raised in Summit NJ, and when I was 12 years old my family moved to Naples, FL, where I grew up golfing and fishing. I graduated from the University of Central Florida, in Orlando, in 2009, with my Bachelor’s Degree in Biological Sciences. I was employed at the Kiawah Island Golf Resort and The Ocean Course for 5 years before joining Golfbreaks USA in April 2018. I live here in Charleston with my wife Amber and young daughter Indiana...and a small zoo of 2 rescue Shephard mixes, and 2 rescue cats.

Interests: I love anything that keeps me outdoors and anything competitive. From golf, to fishing, to surfing, even tennis, ping pong, and billiards. I thoroughly enjoy staying active.

Favorite Course: The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, maybe because I know it so intimately, but the property is one of a kind and it is a course that gets better each time you play it.

Elora Benfer - Client Services Coordinator

Background: I have lived in New York my whole life until relocating to Charleston, South Carolina in July 2018. I have been an avid tennis player since the age of 5 and had always dreamed of playing Division I college tennis. My parents would bring me down to South Carolina during the colder NY months to train with some of the best coaches, which is where my love for the South came from. After graduating from Siena College (where I ended up playing on the Division I tennis team), I worked in the Hospitality Industry for several years. Eventually I decided NY was too cold for me, packed up my stuff to move down south, and started my career here at

Interests: I have a passion for traveling and getting to experience different cultures! My last trip being to Ireland where I got to see the breathtaking Cliffs of Moher. Definitely a must go to stop if you are planning a trip to Ireland!

Tommy Crabtree - Golf Vacation Specialist

Background: I was born in Columbus, Ohio, and moved to Greenville, South Carolina when I was 2 years old, where my Dad opened a golf shop. I have always had a passion for the game and a desire to be around it. Now I am thrilled to be at Golfbreaks and help build our USA team.

Interests: Obviously golf is one of my biggest interests, I play any time I get the chance. Other than that, I love almost any sport you can think of, whether it be football, basketball, baseball or soccer. I also love to travel and experience new cultures as well as exploring new restaurants and bars where ever it is I may be. Being in the golf business is a thrill and I am excited to help Golfbreaks grow.

Favorite Course:  Hard to say what my favorite course is, but I would say one of the courses out at Kiawah, all the views of marshland and ocean never get old.
