  • 18 holes, par 71, 6,655 yards. Parkland/ Links.

Formed in 1858, the Medal course at Monifieth is an excellent combination of parkland and links which was a final qualifying course for The Open Championship in 2007. The Medal Course at Monifieth is a rugged and tough challenge and when the sea breeze picks up it becomes that much more difficult.

There are a number of great holes on the Medal Course at Monifieth but particular highlights include the par 4 6th hole or ‘Lucky Daddy’ which challenges golfers to avoid the burn on the left in addition to the out of bounds running down the right with a pinpoint drive. Also, the signature 15th hole is a classic risk and reward affair which requires a drive over an almighty ridge bisecting the fairway for perfect position. The charming nature of Monifieth golf club and the other surrounding championship golf courses make the medal course a great option when on a golf vacation to Scotland.
