    Formed in 1858, the Medal course at Monifieth is an excellent combination of parkland and links which was a final qualifying course for The Open Championship in 2007. The Medal Course at Monifieth is a rugged and tough challenge and when the sea breeze picks up it becomes that much more difficult.

    There are a number of great holes on the Medal Course at Monifieth but particular highlights include the par 4 6th hole or ‘Lucky Daddy’ which challenges golfers to avoid the burn on the left in addition to the out of bounds running down the right with a pinpoint drive. Also, the signature 15th hole is a classic risk and reward affair which requires a drive over an almighty ridge bisecting the fairway for perfect position. The charming nature of Monifieth golf club and the other surrounding championship golf courses make the medal course a great option when on a golf vacation to Scotland.

    Medal Course, Monifieth only has a limited number of carts and electric trolleys available, therefore it is suggested that these are requested in advance if required.

    Practice Facilities

    Monifieth has extensive practice facilities, which include a driving range, bunker practice area and two putting greens beside the first tee of the Medal Course.
