  • 18 holes, par 70, 6,551 yards. Links.

The traditional Panmure Golf Club was established a 9 hole course in 1845 but was lengthened in 1880 before James Braid altered the original layout in 1922. Panmure Golf Course is a simply spectacular championship links challenge and has hosted a number of professional tournaments, including qualifying for The Open Championship. It was well documented that Ben Hogan spent a lot of time on Panmure Golf Course before The Open at Carnoustie in 1954 - he won by four shots.

Panmure is a superb championship golf course and as such it has an array of magnificent holes and challenges, demonstrated by ‘Hogan's Bunker’ on the 6th hole which is well positioned to gather any errant shots. The signature par 5 14th hole or ‘Lucky Daddy’ features a railway line adjacent to the fairway on the right hand side and requires a well placed second shot to provide the best opportunity at attacking the tight green. As well as being an awesome golf course, Panmure is steeped in history and deserves a visit whilst on a golf trip to Scotland.
