  • 18 holes, par 72, 7,100 yards. Links.

Although it was only recently opened in 2003, Dundonald Links is considered a modern day classic and one of the best links layouts in the area. Designed by the renowned Kyle Phillips the course uses the natural landscape magnificently and has the feel of a much more mature golf course. Dundonald Links has hosted a number of professional and amateur tournaments, most-notably the Senior British Open Championship. Interestingly, a golf course did exist on this site in the 1900’s but it was later turned into a military station on which the D-Day landings were practised during the Second World War.

The golf course has a number of typical links characteristics, large undulating greens, beautiful coastal views and firm crumpled fairways, Dundonald is sure to provide a remarkable experience when on a golf vacation to Scotland. The 11th hole is the shortest on the course at only around 120 yards but requires accuracy as bunkers surround the sloping green. Alternatively, the par 5 3rd hole which usually plays into wind will require three magnificent shots to a multi-tiered green protected by a burn. This modern but traditional golf course is sure to be an enjoyable challenge for any golfer.
