  • 18 holes, 72 par, 6,600 yards, Parkland.

Designed in 1988 by architect Dan Maples, Longleaf utilizes the original design of one of Pinehurst's former horse training estates to create a unique golf course. On several holes on the front-nine Maples decided to keep some of the white fences, rail posts and hedgerows as a tribute to the old Starland Farms.

The Par-3’s and Par-5’s at Longleaf are the clear standout holes on the course. With lots of intimidating tee-shots, impressive scenery and strategic layouts, these signature holes provide a special test for golfers of all skill levels and abilities.

The Longleaf golf course can sometimes be overshadowed by the huge number of quality courses located in Southern Pines, but make no mistake, this short Par-72 course is a true hidden gem of North Carolina
