King's North
at Myrtle Beach National

Myrtle Beach, USA

King's North overview

The King’s North Course at Myrtle Beach National is the signature layout of the three Arnold Palmer designs onsite. In fact, some would argue that it is the best-recognized golf course in Myrtle Beach. It was redesigned by Palmer in 1996 and promptly regarded as one of ‘America’s 100 Greatest Public Courses’.

Mirroring the way ‘The King’ played, there are many risk-reward holes that make for a really fun and challenging round of golf. Although over 7000 yards off the tips there are multiple tee box options to suit all golfers, and similar to the West Course, there are no houses in sight.

Signature Holes

The par-5 6th hole is called ‘The Gambler’ due to its split fairway, with the shorter route being onto an island that then gives you a shot at going for the green in two. The par-3 12th hole is perhaps the signature hole for all of Myrtle Beach, playing 140 yards off the tips onto an iconic island green that has two bunkers shaped in an ‘S’ and a ‘C’, symbolizing the state of South Carolina.
