  • 18 holes, par 69, 5941 yards. Parkland.

From 1909 to 1981, golf was played at Caernarfon on a 9 hole golf course until it was extended to the full 18 you see today. Since then the course has only improved and developed its name as brilliant Welsh golf destination. Sitting at under 6000 yards, Caernarfon Golf Course is not known for its length, but for its lush fairways and perfectly manicured greens, with surrounding views of Snowdonia and Anglesey.

The course itself consists of gentle undulating and tree lined fairways, strong prevailing wind and beautiful views of Caernarfon Castle. The signature hole is the doglegged 335-yard part 4, 14th. The shortness of the hole invites big hitters to go for the green, but the out of bounds surrounding the green tends hinder any chances of hitting the dancefloor in one.

The consistent challenge of the Caernarfon Golf Course and warm welcome at the clubhouse ensures that visitors and golf societies keep on revisiting – a perfect venue for a golf tour to Wales.
