18 holes, par 71, 6860 yards. Links.
Located in the Kenfig National Nature Reserve, along the Porthcrawl coastline, the championship course at Pyle & Kenfig Golf Club is truly magnificent and often voted in the top 10 courses in Wales. Since its establishment 1922, this twice host of the Amateur Championship has made quite a name for itself with its large sand dunes, natural hazards and spectacular coastal views.
Unlike most other links courses, Pyle and Kenfig is laid out over two loops of nine - this is mainly down to the fact that it was originally a 9 hole course. The front 9 is probably your best chance to score as the closing 9 offers a tougher test of golf. The last 8 holes are where the natural sand dunes come into play which is sure to cause your scorecard some serious harm, although these can be avoided we consistently straight drives. Despite not being the longest course, Pyle and Kenfig presents golfers of all levels with a significant challenge – however, if the wind is down then the good shots will be rewarded.
